Monks playing football – a World Cup special
Football is incredibly popular in Burma, second only to Buddha. This match, on a field of dust and the occasional determined weed, in Nyaungshwe, Burma, was played between two teams of novice monks, some wearing t-shirts supplied and sponsored by UNICEF and many playing without shoes on a hard, stony pitch.
